Sunday 1st August 10.30 – 11:30 am Sunday Gathering on Zoom and in the Church

Join us for our weekly worship service, led by Mike Rutter. All welcome. This week’s theme is ‘Light at the Centre’.

We are all on a journey of spiritual exploration, through the terrains of our inner life and experience. For travels in the outer world, we depend heavily on the light from the Sun at the centre of our planetary system. Mystical travellers urge us to look within, for spiritual light and guidance from deep within our essence. Join us on our voyage of discovery.

Sunday 1st August 3:00 pm Earth Spirit Circle: Lammas / Lughnasadh

Meet outside the cafe in Longford Park (If it is pouring down with rain we will retreat to the church for shelter)

Join us for our informal gathering to celebrate Lughnasadh/Lammas, festival of abundance, at which we celebrate the grain harvest, give thanks for the earth’s abundance and reflect on the cycle of life, death and rebirth in the transformation of grain into bread, beer and whisky!

We will celebrate with meditation, music, poetry, and story, and share our reflections on the energies of the season. Please feel free to bring poems, songs, stories, circle dances or other offerings to share with the group. After the circle celebration we will enjoy a picnic. Led by Laura Dobson. All welcome.

Information for those coming to church:

Government coronavirus restrictions have now been lifted in England. However, the virus is still very much with us and we will therefore continue to take precautions in the church building as follows:

Chairs will be still be spaced apart – at 1 metre distance at the front and at 2 metres at the back. We will open the back door so that you can enter and leave at the back if that feels more comfortable.

We will continue to open the windows to ensure good ventilation. We will continue our sanitising routine in the church, including asking you to continue sanitising the toilets after use please.

Face coverings are no longer mandatory in places of worship, but if you choose not to wear one, please ensure you maintain 2 metres social distancing from others at all times. Spare face coverings will be available for those who want to wear one and have forgotten to bring one.

Please note, we will not be singing communally until all those who attend church have had chance to discuss the issue.

We will be keeping a record of who attends for test and trace purposes. If you can, please take a lateral flow test within 24 hours before attending church. These are available free from GPs and pharmacies, although they are only free until the end of July. We will endeavour to source some spares for use beyond then.

We will of course be continuing to livestream services on Zoom for those who are unable or not comfortable to attend church.

We look forward to seeing you soon on Zoom or in church.
