FN4M - News and Events

Dear Members and Friends,

We hope you are all well and have been enjoying the sunshine.

We would like to make you aware of an invitation to the Greater
Manchester Action Networks Summit on Thursday 15 June.

The summit is to achieve a greener and more prosperous Greater
Manchester, we must work together to ensure a fairer Greater Manchester.
Many of our initiatives across GM are aimed at strengthening a solid
social base to prevent people from falling into crisis, and helping to
lift them out if they do. This is evident in our work to tackle
homelessness and rough sleeping, our response to food insecurity,
digital inclusion and our work for good employment across the city
region.

At this first event of its kind, we will bring together the various
mission-based action networks, partnerships and taskforce groups from
across Greater Manchester. We’ll explore what the work of these groups
looks like in more detail, how we can achieve more together through
cross-network collaboration and what the challenges and opportunities
are in pursuing these social ambitions alongside our 2038 carbon
neutrality target and the climate justice agenda.

We’ll be making best use of the fantastic space at Freight Island in
Manchester City Centre (M1 2PZ) to bring to life the work to deliver
these missions. There’ll be time and space for you to learn, share, and
meet new people. We will be joined by Andy Burnham, Mayor of Greater
Manchester and a range of speakers for what is planned to be an
exciting, inspiring and interactive day.

Bring your full self and an open mind. Expect passion and creativity.
Prepare to rise to the challenges and make your voice heard.
