Cross Street Chapel – Minister’s Message

cross street chapel - minister's message

Dear MDA,

The sunny days of late have given way to a drizzle this morning, which was refreshing as I made my morning trek. I hope you find weather conducive to your needs, and can celebrate in the rain as well as sun.

This Sunday will be our monthly “Faith in Life” group; I hope you can join us.

It is bittersweet that I write to tell you that one of our Lettings Assistants, Ben Kewin, has handed in his notice and is due to finish his time with us. Ben has been a wonderful asset, whose wit and welcome has helped the congregation these past several years. Ben is an accomplished artist, and has made the decision to purse art full time, and so although we will miss him, we wish him the best in this venture, and look forward to hearing of his art in years to come. With that in mind, we are holding a ‘cake and coffee’ reception for Ben after the service on Sunday, the 29th May. We hope you can join us!

Another ‘irregular’ notice is our upcoming Flower Communion – set for the 5 June, everyone is encouraged to bring a flower for a communal bouquet. We hold a bring-and-share meal afterwards, so please do consider bringing something if you are able 🙂

And, as usual, please find the links for the upcoming services this week – in-person and online. We look forward to seeing you soon!

With care,

Cody
