Healing the Tears in the Fabric of Our World
On Good Friday 10th April at 11am I will be offering an online service acknowledging the “Tears in the fabric of our world and the tears that well up in our eyes” exploring ways in which we might begin to heal them. We will be acknowledging the suffering in this our world and acknowledge our human responsibility for it, suffering created by our hands. We will seek ways in which we can begin to alleviate this shared suffering, perhaps through working with the loving spirit present in life. If we can begin to alleviate the suffering we can at least stop creating it…

The whole world is currently suffering due to the Corona Virus Pandemic, we are all in this together, no one can doubt this now. I will offer time and hold space for us to acknowledge together this shared suffering, to lament our shared pain and to offer hope in an attempt to find meaning and purpose in this time and thus overcome the despair.
During the service those participating are invited to light, from their own home, ,a candle of hope or despair and to offer words from their heart into our shared world…Acknowledging the suffering and committing to ways in which we can begin to bring healing.
All are welcome…come as you exactly as you…but do not expect to leave in exactly the same condition,,,
The service begins at 11am on Friday 10th April
All that is required is an open heart, mind and soul as well as a spirit that is willing to be free. A candle will be helpful in the time for sharing.
There will be a selction of readings to be shared during the service as well as time for silence and reflection. There will be a traditional Gospel reading as well as other contemporary readings that seem fitting at this time of great suffering and confusion.
It is open to all regardless of faith, belief, or doubt, for the spiritual, religious and none religious too.
You are invited to come as you are, exactly as you are…But do not expect to leave in exactly the same condition.
The Colours of Grief: Our Shared Expereince of Love and Loss
The one thing that unites all people is love and loss, regardless of faith, doubt and belief. It is hoped that through our shared experiences we can help one another come a place of loving acceptance…The invitation is not only bring yourselves and your memories but to bring your whole selves no matter how broken. All that is asked is that you come with your hearts, minds and souls open and that you respect all present. People are also invited to share mementos and pictures and written material that has helped in the darker days.
There will be an opportunity to light a candle of remembrance during our shared time together.
